“Inter-Collegiate Youth Parliament” sponsored by UGC, on 18th February 2015
Department
of Political Science, the Periyar Government Arts College, Cuddalore is
conducting an “Inter-Collegiate Youth Parliament” sponsored by UGC, on 18th
February 2015 at the Anna Centenary Building in the college premise. This programme
is conducted with an aim to ignite the minds of young students towards
understanding the parliamentary procedures and proceeding. This is the first
step to cultivate the young generation to learn the parliamentary culture. The
end result of the youth parliament will be landing the students in an arena of
clean politics. The youth parliament will bring the parliamentary proceeding like,
oath taking by new M.P.s., obituary reference. Introduction of new ministers,
Question Hour, calling attention motion, discussion on matters of public
importance, welcome to foreign delegation. Introduction of a New Bill etc.,
lively to the audience performed by the students of Periyar Govt. College and
other college from Cuddalore district on 18.02.2015, the programme starts at
11.00a.m in which Dr. V.N. Viswanathan, Principal, Periyar Govt. Arts College
will deliver the welcome address. Honourable M.P. of Cuddalore Mr.A.ArunmozhiThevan
will deliver the presidential address and also distribute the prizes to
meritorious students and Mr.V.Rayappan, Head, Department of Political Science,
Periyar Government Arts College will deliver the Vote of Thanks. It is worthy
to mention here training for more than 20 days to perform this youth
Parliament.
