கடலூர் பெரியார் கல்லூரியில் தேசிய அறிவியல் தின விழா 27.02.2014 (வியாழக்கிழமை) அன்று  நடைபெற்றது. 

 நிகழ்ச்சிக்கு கல்லூரி முதல்வர் விஸ்வநாதன் தலைமை வகித்தார். இயற்பியல் துறை தலைவர் மனோகரன் வரவேற்றார். விலங்கியல் துறை பேராசிரியர் ஜெயந்திதேவி நன்றி கூறினார்.கல்பாக்கம் இந்திராகாந்தி அணு ஆராய்ச்சி மைய வேதியியல் குழும அணு எரிபொருள் ஆய்வுப் பகுதி தலைவரும், விஞ்ஞானியுமான ஆனந்தசிவன் சிறப்பு அழைப்பாளராக கலந்து கொண்டார்.

நிகழ்ச்சியில் இந்திராகாந்தி அணு ஆராய்ச்சி மைய வேதியியல் குழும அணு எரிபொருள் ஆய்வுப் பகுதி தலைவரும், விஞ்ஞானியுமான ஆனந்தசிவன் பேசியது:

தொன்மையான, பாரம்பரிய அறிவியல் அழிந்து வருகிறது. அறிவியல் என்பது உள்ளார்ந்த தேடல். இந்தியர்கள் முதலில் கண்டுபிடித்த பூஜ்ஜியம், 2-வது கண்டுபிடித்த எண்கள் தான் சிறந்த கண்டுபிடிப்புகளாக உள்ளன. துரு பிடிக்காத இரும்பைக் கண்டுபிடித்ததும் இந்தியர்கள் தான். ஆனால் நாம் 21-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டிலும் பாதி உடை அணிந்த ஆதி மனிதர்களாகத் தான் இருக்கிறோம். நம்மிடையே உள்ள குறைகளை களைந்தால் இந்தியா வளரும். நமது நாட்டில் உள்ள கோவில், கலை, பண்பாடு ஆகியவை அழியாத புகழாக இருக்கிறது. சிந்து சமவெளி நாகரீக காலத்திலேயே கழிவறை பயன்படுத்தும் அறிவை மக்கள் பெற்று இருந்தார்கள். அதேபோல் இப்போது நாம் வாக்களிக்கும், குடவோலை முறையை ஆயிரம் ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பே தமிழர்கள் கண்டுபிடித்து இருந்தார்கள். 15 அடிப்படை அறிவியல் உண்மைகளை உலகத்துக்கு இந்தியர்கள் தான் கொடுத்தார்கள். மாணவர்கள் கேள்வி கேட்க வேண்டும். அருகில் இருந்து ஆசிரியர்கள் சொல்வதை கேட்க வேண்டும். நாம் நம்மை பற்றிய செய்தியை வெளிநாட்டினர் சொன்னால் தான் நம்புவோம். அந்த எண்ணத்தை கைவிட வேண்டும். அறிவியலுக்கு வசதி தேவையில்லை. சிந்தனை இருந்தால் போதும். ஆழமாக சிந்தித்துச் செயல்பட வேண்டும். ஆராய்ச்சியை மாணவர்கள் இப்போதில் இருந்தே தொடங்க வேண்டும். தமிழில் நன்றாக பேசினால் ஆங்கிலம் எளிதில் வந்துவிடும் என்றார்.

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரி தமிழ்த் துறை சார்பில் உ.வே.சாமிநாதய்யர் பிறந்த நாள் விழா 20.02.2014 அன்று  நடைபெற்றது. 

கல்லூரி முதல்வர் விஸ்வநாதன் தலைமை வகித்தார். பேராசிரியர் கவிதா வரவேற்றார். நெய்வேலி ஜவகர் கல்லூரி முதல்வர் சந்திரசேகர், உ.வே.சா. படத்தைத் திறந்து வைத்து சிறப்புரையாற்றினார். விழாவையொட்டி நடைபெற்ற கருத்தரங்கில், பேராசிரியர்கள் பலர் உ.வே.சா. குறித்து பல்வேறு தலைப்புகளில் கட்டுரை சமர்பித்தனர். நிகழ்ச்சியை பேராசிரியர் சியாமளா தொகுத்து வழங்கினார். முன்னதாக தமிழ்த் துறை மாணவர்கள் பங்கேற்ற விழிப்புணர்வு ஊர்வலம் நடைபெற்றது.

One Day State Level Workshop On Entrepreneurial Development And Inauguration Of EDC – The First Of Its Kind in The History Of Cuddalore Periyar Arts College

ONE DAY STATE LEVEL WORKSHOP ON ENTREPRENEURIAL DEVELOPMENT And  INAUGURATION OF EDC – THE FIRST OF ITS KIND IN THE HISTORY OF PERIYAR ARTS COLLEGE, CUDDALORE

　　　　The PG and Research Department of Commerce of Periyar Arts College organized a one day state – level workshop on entrepreneurial development and inaugurated the EDC (Entrepreneur Development Cell) on 13th Feb-2014 in its premises.

　　　　180 students participated in the work shop. Dr. K. MURUGADOSS Head of the Department, welcomed the participants and the dignitaries. Dr. V.N. VISWANATHAN, the Principal, in his presidential address emphasized on the need for self employment which will be a born to the future India. Mr. Rajaganesh, General Manager, District Industries Centre, Cuddalore as the Chief guest, highlighted the government schemes available to an entrepreneur.

　　　　The Key note address was presented by Mr. F.FELIX CLEMENT, Managing Director of MID –Link, Chennai. He spoke on how to become an entrepreneur. He emphasized on the three qualities needed for an entrepreneur viz, Flight balance enterprises and enterprising which make him successful.

　　　　Mr. ASHOK, The President of Medium and Small Enterprises association Cuddalore spoke on avenues open to an entrepreneur. Dr. G.DAMODARAN , Proprietor of Uma Devi Agro and milk products Cuddalore, highlighted on the challenges confronted by an entrepreneur

　　　　Dr .S.SOOSAI JOHN ROSARIO, Asst Professor of Commerce, compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. The heads and members of other faculties added grandeur to the progamme by their participation

　　　　As the highlight of the programme, the Entrepreneurial Development (EDC) Cell which is the pioneer attempt among Government colleges was inaugurated which would function as an important organ of the department for motivating and training students to become entrepreneursin the path of creating employment opportunities.

Cuddalore: Periyar Arts College English Department Students win Overall Championship at ‘GITANJALI 2014’ FEST, ULUNDURPET.

The Students of the Department of English, Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore won the overall Championship Trophy at the ‘GITANJALI 2014’ Inter-Collegiate Literary and cultural competitions conducted by The Jawaharlal Nehru College for Women, Pali, Ulundurpet on 15th February 2014.

A function was held at Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore to felicitate the students who won various prizes in Rangoli, JAM, Solo Singing, Literary Quiz, Poetry Recitation, Literary Encounter and Talentia Competitions. K.Kathavarayan, Kishore Chandra Gupta, Anandha Bhaskar, Selvarani, Arunmozhi, G.Veeramani, Sakthivaramban, Leo Rosario, Sethupathi, Sabaripriyan, Rajeshwari, Dhivya and Srithar were the winners. Dr.V.N.Viswanathan, Principal, Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore congratulated the winners and lauded the achievements of the students. Mr.R.Ravi, Head of the Department of English welcomed the audience. Dr.Thamizhazhi Korkai Vendhan, Head of the Department of Tamil, Mr.Sivashanmugaraja, Head of the Department of Mathematics and the members of the faculty of the Department of English felicitated the winners.

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரி மாணவர் தேசிய அளவிலான குத்துசண்டை போட்டியில் தங்கம் வென்று சாதனை

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரியில் பி.எஸ்.சி (இயற்பியல்) மூன்றாம் ஆண்டு மாணவர் அரவிந்தவேல் அரியானாவில் நடைபெற்ற தேசிய அளவிலான குத்துசண்டை போட்டியில் தங்கம் வென்றார். மேலும் ஆசிய விளையாட்டு போட்டிகளில் குத்துசண்டைக்கு இந்திய வீரராகவும் தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளார். 

இதே போல் முதுகலை (விலங்கியல்) இரண்டாம் ஆண்டு மாணவி பாக்கியலட்சுமி தன் துறையில் ஆராய்ச்சி மேற்கொள்வதற்காக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு தமிழ்நாடு உயர்கல்வி மன்றம் சார்பில் ரூ. 20 ஆயிரம் ஊக்கத் தொகை பெற்றுள்ளார். 

இந்த சாதனை மாணவர்களுக்கு, கல்லூரியில் நடந்த விழாவில் அமைச்சர் சம்பத் கோப்பை மற்றும் சான்றிதழ் வழங்கி பாராட்டினார்.

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரிக்கு ரூ.4.50 லட்சம் மதிப்பீட்டில் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்ட குடிநீர் இயந்திரம்

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரிக்கு ரூ.4.50 லட்சம் மதிப்பீட்டில் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்ட குடிநீர் இயந்திரம் வழங்கப்பட்டது. 

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரியில் 14.02.2014 (வெள்ளிக்கிழமை) நடைபெற்ற விழாவில் குடிநீர் இயந்திரத்தை இயக்கி வைத்து வணிகவரி மற்றும் பத்திரப்பதிவுத் துறை அமைச்சர் எம்.சி.சம்பத் பேசியது: 

அரசு கல்லூரிகளில் பயிலும் மாணவ, மாணவிகள் கல்வி மற்றும் வேலைவாய்ப்புகளில் முன்னேற வேண்டும் என்ற நோக்கத்தில் பல்வேறு சிறப்புத் திட்டங்களை அறிவித்து முதல்வர் செயல்படுத்தி வருகிறார். தனியார் கல்லூரிகளுக்கு இணையாக அரசுக் கல்லூரிகளில் அனைத்து அடிப்படை வசதிகளையும் அரசு மேற்கொண்டுள்ளது. கடந்த ஆண்டு முதல் முதுகலை மற்றும் ஆராய்ச்சி படிப்புகள் தொடங்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. தொகுதி மேம்பாட்டு நிதி மற்றும் நமக்கு நாமே திட்டத்தின் நிதியுடன் ரூ.4.50 லட்சம் மதிப்பீட்டில் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்ட குடிநீர் வழங்க இரண்டு பிளான்ட்டுகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன. இதன் மூலம் நாள் ஒன்றுக்கு 30 ஆயிரம் லிட்டர் சுத்திகரிக்கப்பட்ட குடிநீர் கிடைக்கிறது. இதன் மூலம் 4,095 மாணவ, மாணவியர் மற்றும் 180 ஆசிரியர்கள் மற்றும் ஆசிரியரல்லாத பணியாளர்களும் பயனடைய உள்ளனர் என்றார்.

National Science Day is going to be celebrated in an outstanding manner on 27-28.02.2014 in Cuddalore Periyar Arts College

On the momentous occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of our college, National Science Day is going to be celebrated in an outstanding manner on 27-28.02.2014. It is planned to organize an Exhibition, a Quiz Programme, Debate, Oratorical (Speech) and Essay Writing Competition. All these events are to be conducted in a well organized manner before the said dates.

The participant list from each department has to be prepared and submitted on or before 27.02.2014.

The schedule of the events is as follows:

Exhibition:

　*The main theme of the exhibition is to foster scientific temper among youth.
　*The science faculty has to exhibit 5-10 modules.
　*Working models, innovative poster presentations, concept based modules,
   demo modules and applied science should be based on fostering scientific temper.
   * Each Presentation will be exhibited by a team of students comprising 3 members.
   Three Prizes will be given for the best presentation by the Scrutinizing experts.

Quiz programme:

*Each Science Department is allowed a team consisting of two students.
*The subject of the quiz is based on General knowledge and Applied Science.
*The rules and regulations for the quiz programme will be intimated shortly.
*Pre-selection of candidate will be done on 24.02.2014 by respective departments.
*Only the selected team can enter the final round which will be held on 27.02.2014.

Essay Writing:

*The topic for the essay writing is Green revolution and Natural cultivation (Pasumai puratchiyum iyarkkai vivasayamum) or Knowledge of Science in Extension activities
*Two students from each Science Department are allowed to participate in the essay writing.

Oratorical competition (Speech):

*The topic for the Speech competition is Eradication of poverty through science.
*Two students from each Science Department are allowed to participate in the speech competition
*Pre-Selection will be conducted on 25.02.2014
*Only the selected students will be allowed for the final round which will be held on 27.02.2014.

Debate:

Topic : Is science a bane or a blessing for a peaceful society
Participants : Team consists of one faculty member and two students

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரியில் 20 நாடுகளின் பண விபரங்கள் அடங்கிய பணக்கண்காட்சி நடைபெற்றது

கடலூர் பெரியார் கலைக் கல்லூரியில் 11.02.2014 (செவ்வாய்க்கிழமை) அன்று காலை 11.00மணியளவில் பணக்கண்காட்சி நடைபெற்றது. இக்கண்காட்சியை கல்லூரி முதல்வர் முனைவர் வ.நா.விஸ்வநாதன் அவர்கள் துவக்கி வைத்தார். ஆங்கிலத்துறை பேராசிரியரும் நாட்டு நலப்பணி திட்ட அலுவலருமான திரு.சா.டேவிட் சவுந்தர் வரவேற்புரை அளித்தார்.

கல்லூரியின் முன்னாள் மாணவரும், பாரத வங்கியின் திருப்பாப்புலியூர் கிளையில் பணி புரியும் திரு.வெங்கடேசன் அவர்கள் சவூதி அரேபியா, பிரேசில், வெனிசுலா, மலேசியா, இந்தியா, பாகிஸ்தான் உள்ளிட்ட 20 நாடுகளின் பண விபரங்களை இக்கண்காட்சியில் காண்பதற்கு ஏற்பாடுகளை செய்திருந்தார்.

இக்கண்காட்சி நடைபெறுவதற்கு ஆங்கிலத்துறை மாணவர்கள் உறுதுணையாக இருந்தனர். இக்கண்காட்சியை கல்லூரி மாணவ, மாவியர் பார்வையிட்டு பயன்பெற்றனர். மாணவ, மாணவியரின் பொது அறிவுத் திறனை வளர்ப்பதற்கு இக்கண்காட்சி மிகவும் பயனுள்ளதாக இருந்தது.
