　　　　A felicitation function was organized on 2nd April 2014 at Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore to commend acclaim the professors who successfully completed their Post Doctoral Fellowship and the Professors and students selected for various UGC Minor Projects.

　　　　 Prof. C.Sivashanmugaraja, Head of the Department of Mathematics welcomed the august gathering. Speaking on the occasion Dr.V.N.Viswanathan, Principal, Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore laid emphasis on the significance of Research activities in colleges. Alluding to teaching and research as the two eyes, the Principal persuaded all the teachers to undertake research projects and contribute their mite to Higher Education. He congratulated all the Professors namely:

for being selected for UGC sponsored Minor Projects Selvi. N. Bakkiyalakshmi, student of II M.Sc., Zoology received a special word of appreciation for being selected for TNSCHE, Student Minor Project

　　　　Dr. Kalaiselvan, Assistant Professor Department of Marine Biology, Centre for Advanced Study(CAS) , Annamalai University, Parangipettai, the Chief Guest applauded the achievements of the Post Doctoral Fellowship awards and Prof. Kotharies Yeoman service to research in Higher Education Institutions. He explicated the importance of Teaching, Research and Extension of Research benefits to society at large.

　　　　This was followed by Felicitations by Dr. S.Tamizhazhi korkkai vendan, Head ,Dept. of Tamil, Mrs. R.Jayanthi Devi, Head, Dept. of Zoology, Mrs. Kalaimani, Associate Professor of Chemistry, Dr.R.Kannan, Asst. Professor of Zoology, Mrs.R.Ananthi, Asst. Professor of Mathematics. Towards the end Mr.R.Ravi, Head, Dept. of English proposed the Vote of Thanks. Dr.K.Aruldoss, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Zoology has organized the entire programme successfully.
