On the event of World Consumer
Rights Day 2014, the Cuddalore district administration has crowned Periyar
Government Arts College by awarding First Prize in conducting various consumers
related awareness programmes. The Citizen Consumer Club lead by Dr.R.Thilak
Kumar from 2009 to 2014 received the cash prize of Rs.1500/ - from the District
Collector Mr.Suresh kumar. In the College premises, Dr.R.Thilak kumar was appreciated
by the Principal for his relentless services towards consumer education.
