The Department of Computer Science of  Periyar Arts  College is organizing  a National Level Workshop on “Cloud Computing -Big  Data Analytics” for 2 days(27.08.2015 & 28.08.2015). The workshop is sponsored by Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology. 150 participants from all over India are participating  in this workshop.

              This two days workshop mainly focuses on the research and convention about the cloud computing. The working methodology of cloud computing has been explained through interactive and online demonstrations by the resource persons to the participants.

              The inaugural function for this workshop was conducted in Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore on 27^th August 2015. The inaugural function was presided over by Prof.V.N.Viswanathan, Principal, Periyar Arts College. In his inaugural address the principal emphasized the need for implementation of cloud computing in the Government sectors at the grass root level.  The organizing secretary of this workshop Prof.Mrs.K.Geetha explained the importance and need for cloud computing.

        Prof. K.Seetharaman, Associate Professor from Annamalai University inaugurated the workshop and gave the inaugural address. Prof. M. Leenus, Assistant Professor of Computer Science welcomed the gathering.  Prof. M. Paul Arokiadass Jerald, Assistant Professor of Computer Science proposed the vote of thanks.
