Consumer Forum-World Consumer Rights Day-2015”
On
behalf of the Citizen’s Consumer forum of Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore
the World Consumers Rights Day-2015 was observed on 14.03.2015. The Principal
of Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore Dr.V.N.Viswanathan and the Head of
Dept. of Economics Dr.N.Kannan presided over the function Mr.B.Palanchamy alias
Chandru, Director, Call Creators and Mr.M.Nijamudheen, General Secretary, Tamil
Nadu Consumer’s Forum where the special invitees.
On
the occasion of the World Consumers Rights Day, 2015 an awareness pamphlet for
the benefit of the public on the topic Investment and Consumers was released.
In the pamphlet essays written by the following dignitaries were included.
1. The
Principal of Periyar Govt. Arts College, Cuddalore, Dr.V.N.Viswanathan on the
topic Consumer Security.
2. Dr.P.Kumaran,
Associate Professor, Dept of Tamil, Periyar Govt. Arts College on the topic Caution
in Investment.
3. Mr.V.Gopinath,
Administrative Officer, Life Insurance Corporation, Cuddalore on the topic Investment
and Consumer.
4. Mr.C.A.Dass, Director of Advocate Training, Tamil Nadu Consumer’s Forum, Cuddalore on the topic- Insurance Judgments
Prizes were distributed to the students who won in the various competitions conducted on behalf of the world consumer’s day function. Around hundred students and the Heads of various departments participated in the function. Mr.R.Aravindhvel, II-MSc Physics proposed the vote of thanks. Dr.R.Thilakkumar, Co-ordinator Citizen’s Consumers forum made the necessary arrangements for the function.
